International artist Joni Zavitsanos’ art will be shown at mid-town Houston’s MATCH Gallery from January 23 through February 5 in an exhibition supported by the Consulate of Greece in Houston.
The exhibit is titled “My Father’s Daughter – Byzantine Art in the Modern World.” Ms. Zavitsanos’ work is inspired by her late father the artist and iconographer Diamantis John Cassis.
The opening reception is Thursday, January 23 at 6pm. The MATCH Gallery is at 3400 Main Street. Parking information for the gallery can be found here. MATCH is a performance venue for the Houston region’s small and mid-sized arts organizations that showcases an art in many forms.
